One of the great things about working at a school here is that you can
go to the school clinic and get free meds. I've been coughing for about
3 weeks now (which is ridiculous, I know), so this week I finally
decided to go to the clinic. The doctor asked me lots of questions and
looked at my throat then gave me lots of drugs to take. He asked random questions about my cough and my throat and then he asked where I am from. We told him the US and so then all the following questions were checking if I had the Swine. I tried my best to assure him that I did not have the Swine and I hadn't been around anyone who had (I have no interest in a trip to the hospital or quarantine). They gave me a pill I have to take-- a bottle of cough syrup that is as thick as molasses-- and a vile of something unknown (I can't seem to open it so I haven't tried that one yet). I have no idea what this medicine is specifically treating...that's life overseas! They told me I will definitely be fine once I finish the medicine.. so here's hoping!
Chinese Medicine is always a new and exciting experience. lol. It's worked me for actually - most of the time that is...
